Medicare and Dental Care

If you have Medicare, you may be wondering what your options are for dental care. The unfortunate news is that Medicare does not cover most dental care including things like cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, dental plates and other dental devices.

Original Medicare may pay for some dental services before or as part of certain related medical procedures. Medicare Part A will pay for certain dental services that you get when you’re in a hospital. Some Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C) offer dental benefits, so this is an option you may wish to explore.
